For our April walk, we are heading up to the 16th century Breamore House, near Fordingbridge, for a 4 mile walk that will include an ancient maze and a stroll through bluebell woods. Starting point is the Saxon St. Mary’s church by the House that is signposted from the A338 road. (Grid ref: 153188.) Usual rules apply – be there and ready to go at 10.30.
For those who might be interested, there is a Countryside Museum in the farmyard with reconstructed buildings giving a glimpse of life in the village in days gone by.
Refreshments can be had in the Tea Room at Breamore House and a pub on the main road in the village.
