The heatwave eased and it was perfect weather for a BBQ.
Part of Richard and Barbara’s back garden was covered by an assortment of gazebos that had been erected in the morning by a team of willing volunteers, bribed only by coffee and biscuits!
A number of BBQs, complete with hose pipe and fire extinguisher, had been assembled at a safe distance in an area designated as “men only” and a team of chefs were on duty to cook the excellent meat provided by the Bransgore butcher.
A short distance away was a gazebo with a splendid array of salads and desserts provided by members and their wives (mostly the latter!) and, in yet another gazebo, Len’s libation was being served to get everyone in the mood.
All that remained was for the guests to settle down in good company with their drink of choice and enjoy themselves – which they did!
Huge thanks to Richard and Barbara for their hospitality and to everybody who contributed to such a great evening.
