One very pleasant Probus tradition is the Past President’s Lunch, when the retiring President hosts a lunch for the committee and their partners.
This year, the lunch was held at Tyrrell’s Ford and they did Len proud with a superb buffet that included the best scotch eggs most of us had ever tasted – and after the second, or indeed third, they tasted even better!
The separate dessert table was irresistible and it would have been rude not to try at least one, although the question has to be asked: “which member of the committee was seen to have had three, yes three, desserts?”
A big thank you to Len for his hospitality and for laying on such an enjoyable occasion.
